The Takaoka City Fujiko F. Fujio Furusato Gallery, located on the second floor of the Takaoka City Museum of Art, showcases precious materials and original artwork from the renowned manga artist, Fujiko F. Fujio. He spent his boyhood in Takaoka, and it's said that the sensibilities he cultivated there greatly influenced his later works. The gallery features his hand-drawn manga manuscripts, stories behind his creations, and more, allowing visitors to gain a deeper understanding of his world.
The area surrounding the gallery also boasts many places associated with the artist and shops selling traditional Takaoka crafts, offering a chance to explore the city and immerse yourself in Fujiko F. Fujio's world. Be sure to visit when you're in Takaoka!
