The Toyama City Sato Memorial Museum is a public museum located in Toyama Castle Ruins Park in Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture. It primarily exhibits a collection of East Asian antiquities amassed by Suekuro Sato, a businessman and tea master from Tonami City, Toyama Prefecture. The museum includes relocated and recreated tea rooms from the former Sato family residence, as well as a shoin-zukuri style Japanese-style room that retains its historical atmosphere. On the first floor is 'Joan,' a tea room built in the early 1920s at Suekuro Sato's birthplace in Tonami City, which has been relocated to the museum. On the second floor is 'Ryuteian,' a tea room consisting of a kitchen and annex which were moved from the residence of a Kaga clan retainer in 1868 (the first year of the Meiji era) to Suekuro Sato's home before being relocated again to the museum during its construction. The museum also features exhibits related to the history of Toyama Castle, offering insights into the history of Toyama City.
