Tsugaru-han Neputa Mura is a facility where you can fully enjoy the charm of Hirosaki Neputa. The Hirosaki Neputa Museum exhibits full-scale, 10-meter-tall Neputa floats, their frameworks, and more, allowing you to learn about their structure and history. It also features Ohayashi (festive music) performances and works by Neputa artists. At San Gendō, you can enjoy live Tsugaru shamisen performances. The Tsugaru shamisen is a traditional performing art representing Aomori Prefecture, known for its powerful sound. At Tsugaru-han Neputa Mura, you can learn not only about Tsugaru shamisen performances, but also its history and production process. The facility also boasts Yōkameien, a Japanese garden registered as a national registered tangible cultural property, and Yōkameian, a snow-country teahouse, one of the few in the Tohoku region. Yōkameien is a garden built using a unique Tsugaru gardening style, borrowing the scenery of Mount Iwaki and the old pines of Hirosaki Park, offering beautiful scenery throughout the year. Yōkameian is a teahouse built in the early Meiji period, where you can enjoy tea while appreciating the garden view.
