Overview

Hossen-ji Temple is located in Nagatoro-machi, Chichibu-gun, Saitama Prefecture. It was founded by Fujita Yasukuni. Fujita Yasukuni was the lord of Tenjinyama Castle. He gave the castle to Hojo Ujibuna, who had married his daughter, and retired to Yodo Castle in Yorii Town. Hossen-ji Temple houses Fujita Yasukuni's mausoleum, offering a glimpse into history. In spring, weeping cherry blossoms bloom profusely, creating a harmonious landscape with the beautiful natural surroundings of Nagatoro. During cherry blossom season, many tourists visit, creating a lively atmosphere within the temple grounds. You can also enjoy Fujibakama, one of the seven autumn flowers. Fujibakama is particularly delicate among the autumn seven herbs, perfectly complementing the tranquil ambiance of Hossen-ji Temple.
