Michi-no-Eki Namie is a new roadside station in Namie-machi, Futaba-gun, Fukushima Prefecture, that opened in April 2020. It serves as a symbol of recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake and contributes to the revitalization of the region. The roadside station features a "Specialty Product Corner" selling local products and agricultural goods, a "Food Court" offering gourmet dishes made with Namie-machi ingredients, and a "Rest Area" for breaks and events. The Specialty Product Corner offers fresh vegetables, fruits, and processed products grown in Namie-machi. Among them, "Namie Yakisoba" (Namie-style stir-fried noodles), a local specialty known for its thick, chewy noodles, is particularly popular among tourists. The Food Court offers a variety of menus including Namie Yakisoba, seafood bowls, ramen, and curry. You can savor delicious meals using plenty of locally sourced ingredients. The Rest Area is spacious and offers a relaxing atmosphere. The event space hosts local events and product exhibitions, creating a lively atmosphere in the community.
