Tonouchi Sakura

Overview

The Tonouchi Sakura is a weeping cherry tree with vibrant red blossoms located in a cemetery on a slightly elevated hill near Itsukushima Shrine in Miharu-machi, Tamura-gun, Fukushima Prefecture. It's approximately 200 years old and known as a beautiful cherry tree that heralds the arrival of spring. Its crimson flowers are stunning, blooming in a breathtaking spectacle that resembles a fiery blaze, captivating many hearts. During cherry blossom season, the area buzzes with locals and tourists, creating an enchanting atmosphere filled with the fragrant scent of cherry blossoms.
