The Tobe-yaki Traditional Craft Industry Hall opened in April 1989 as a town development project, spurred by Tobe ware's designation as a national traditional craft in 1976. As a facility dedicated to preserving the history and culture of Tobe ware, it boasts numerous historical documents and precious works. The exhibits offer a multifaceted look at Tobe ware, showcasing everything from gorgeous,錦絵 (nishiki-e) decorated antique pieces to works reflecting the characteristics of different eras, examples of superb techniques, and displays that highlight both the traditional and modern aspects of Tobe ware. The special exhibition room hosts showcases of new works, individual exhibitions, and a kiln-owner introduction corner. The Tobe-yaki Traditional Craft Industry Hall provides a deep understanding of the history and culture of Tobe ware, while also offering a glimpse into its contemporary success and future. Come experience the allure of Tobe ware for yourself!
