Kawashima Castle is a castle ruin located in Kawashima-cho, Yoshinogawa City, Tokushima Prefecture. Built on a 137-meter-high mountain, it boasts a history dating back to the Muromachi period. It is said to have been constructed by the Miyoshi clan in the late Muromachi period, flourishing as a prominent castle representing Shikoku and the powerful warlord of Awa province. Kawashima Castle played a significant role in the Miyoshi clan's expansion of power and served as the stage for many battles.
