The Shakadō Ruins Museum, located conveniently above the Shakadō Parking Area on the Chūō Expressway, showcases precious artifacts from the Jōmon period. Opened in 1988, the museum displays dogū (clay figurines), pottery, and stone tools excavated from the surrounding area. A remarkable 1,116 dogū are on display and designated as Important Cultural Properties of Japan.
