Kazahaya no Sato is a flower garden in Misugi-cho, Tsu City, Mie Prefecture, where plum blossoms, wisteria, and hydrangeas bloom in vibrant colors throughout the year. Individuals with disabilities and staff from the "Seijukai" social welfare corporation collaborate to cultivate these blossoms, creating a beloved garden that blends environmental conservation and welfare. The vast grounds boast 560 plum trees of 65 varieties, 900 wisteria plants of 10 varieties, and 77,700 hydrangea plants of 45 varieties, all blooming in spectacular displays. From early February to late March, plum blossoms paint the garden in shades of pink and white. A wide variety of plum blossoms can be enjoyed, including 'Kan Koubai,' 'Michi Shirube,' 'Shiro Kaga,' 'Kagoshima Koubai,' 'Beni Chidori,' 'Nikko Ume,' 'Beni Tsuru,' 'Bougo Ume,' 'Minato Koubai,' 'Koume,' 'Nanko Ume,' 'Omoi no Mama,' and 'Rinshi Ume'. From mid-April to early May, the sweet fragrance of blooming wisteria fills the air. The sight of various wisteria varieties such as 'Shiro Kouhidan Fuji,' 'Murasaki Kouhidan Fuji,' 'Kou Fuji,' 'Kuchibeni Fuji,' 'Rokujakku Fuji,' 'Kujakku Fuji,' 'Nagasaki Issai Fuji,' 'Yae Kokuryuu Fuji,' 'Kokuryuu Fuji,' and 'Shiro Noda Fuji' is truly breathtaking. Ten different types of wisteria trellises add to the unique charm of the garden. From early June to early July, the hydrangeas burst into bloom, creating a stunning spectacle of various colors. Some varieties, such as 'Selma,' 'Shalona,' 'Selena,' 'Sandra,' 'Sabrina,' and 'Sierra,' can only be found at Kazahaya no Sato. The garden also features gazebos, a footbath (available during flower festivals), and a dog run, allowing for a full day of enjoyment. There are 22 gazebos perfect for rest and meals. The dog run, spanning 9,900 square meters, welcomes all dog breeds. Kazahaya no Sato is not just a place to admire seasonal flowers, but also a place to connect with nature and rejuvenate your mind and body.
