A breathtaking spring spectacle featuring approximately 3,000 blooming hanamomo (flowering peach) trees.
Hanamomo no Sato, located in Higashi-Chichibu Village, Chichibu District, Saitama Prefecture, is a stunning spring destination boasting approximately 3,000 hanamomo trees in full bloom. Hanamomo are deciduous, small to medium-sized trees belonging to the Rosaceae family and Prunus genus, originating in China. They are believed to have been introduced to Japan during the Edo period. Unlike fruit-bearing peach trees, hanamomo are cultivated solely for their ornamental blossoms. The hanamomo trees at Hanamomo no Sato reach their peak bloom from late March to early April. While the blooming period is short, it offers an intensely vibrant pink spectacle. Beyond the hanamomo, Hanamomo no Sato features a variety of other blossoms, including cherry blossoms and wintersweet. The area also offers easy access to other attractions, such as the Chichibu Muse Park and the Yo-yama Park. Hanamomo no Sato is perfect for those seeking a tranquil escape surrounded by nature.
