Tenkajō Park, located on a 120m-high hill in Uchyama, Takaoka-machi, Miyazaki City, is a park that combines abundant nature, history, and sports facilities. In spring, approximately 1,200 cherry trees, including Someiyoshino and Yamazakura varieties, burst into bloom, painting the park in shades of pink. Around 50,000 azaleas also flourish, creating a truly spectacular sight. The "Tenkajō Kaimon Sakura Matsuri" (Tenkajō Gate Opening Cherry Blossom Festival) is held in mid-to-late March each year, featuring stage shows and lively food stalls.
