Overview

Maiko Snow Resort is a ski resort located in Maiko, Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, with excellent access from the Kanetsu Expressway. It consists of three areas: Maiko, Nagamine, and Okutoeji, offering a total of 24 courses. Each area features slopes suitable for various skill levels, from gentle beginner slopes to challenging expert runs for skiers and snowboarders. The Maiko area also boasts a snow park for those seeking a bit more excitement. The Nagamine area, primarily featuring the Ranran course from the top of the Maiko Gondola, offers the longest run at 6,000m. The Okutoeji area is known for its scenic intermediate and advanced courses. Rest houses are conveniently located throughout the resort, both at the base and mid-mountain, providing ample opportunities for meals and breaks. Maiko Kogen Hotel, located within the resort, offers on-site hot springs. Its convenient location allows for easy access to the slopes, providing a relaxing soak after a day of skiing or snowboarding. INFO: Parking is different for guests staying overnight and day-trippers. Day-trippers should use the gondola parking lot in front of the ski center. Route buses stop at both the Maiko Kogen Hotel and the gondola parking lot, making them convenient for both overnight guests and day-trippers. (1,000 yen parking fee on Saturdays only)
