Access: Car: Approximately 20 minutes from the An'nai Interchange or Matsuo-Hachimantai Interchange on the Tohoku Expressway. Train: JR East Hanamagari Line - Appi Kogen Station. Approximately 60 minutes from Morioka Station. Shuttle buses from Appi Kogen Station are not available; utilize the shuttle services provided by individual facilities. Local Bus (winter season only, no reservation required): Iwateken Kita Bus Morioka Station West Exit - Appi Kogen (approximately 60 minutes) During the 2023-24 season, the first uphill bus on specific days will pass through the Hachimantai area (Hachimantai Onsenkyo, Hachimantai Heights, Hachimantai Mountain Hotel) on its way to Morioka.
