Kouon-ji Temple is a Jodo sect temple located in Kizumi, Kaizuka City, Osaka Prefecture, famous for its National Treasure Kannon-do hall, known as "Kugi Nashi-do (Nail-less Hall)". This Kannon-do hall is a precious cultural asset representing the architectural style of the Kamakura period, characterized by its nail-free wooden structure. Kouon-ji Temple was formerly called "Kannon-ji Temple" and is said to have been founded by Gyoki, a Buddhist monk from the Nara period.
