Tamadarea no Taki Waterfall in Hakone-Yumoto is a serene and beautiful waterfall located on the grounds of Ten-sen-en Hotel, open to non-guests. The approximately 8-meter-high and 11-meter-wide waterfall's cascading water is so finely dispersed it resembles a "bamboo curtain" (tamasudare), captivating all who visit. The sound of the falling water is also beautiful, offering a refreshing experience for both body and mind. Nearby is Tamadarea Shrine, famous as a shrine dedicated to good fortune in relationships. Approximately 100 steps lead up to this small shrine. Goshuin (temple seals) can be purchased at the front desk of Ten-sen-en Hotel. Heart-shaped ema (votive plaques) are also available from a vending machine. Tamadarea Shrine is filled with ema dedicated to wishes for successful relationships, attracting many visitors hoping for romantic fulfillment.
