The easiest way to reach Aka-soba no Sato (Red Buckwheat Village) is by car. Enter "Minowa Nishi Elementary School" and the phone number 0265-79-2423 into your GPS. From the north side of Minowa Nishi Elementary School's playground, head west. After about 200 meters, you'll come to an intersection. Turn right there to reach the Aka-soba no Sato parking lot. Some areas within the grounds are unpaved, so please wear comfortable shoes. While Aka-soba no Sato is a nature-rich area, please be aware that there is a possibility of encountering bears. Be especially careful in the early morning and evening.
