Kai Zenkoji Temple is a temple of the Shingon sect's Chizan branch located in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture. It has long been a place of faith as the betto (subordinate temple) of Sengen Shrine, the Ichinomiya (most important shrine) of Kai Province. Its history stretches back to the Heian period, though the current main hall (hondo) was rebuilt in the Muromachi period and is designated as an Important Cultural Property.
