Imori Pond is a pond situated at an elevation of approximately 850 meters in Myoko City, Niigata Prefecture. Surrounded by abundant nature, it's renowned as a scenic spot offering breathtaking views of Mount Myoko. The pond's name, meaning "newt pond," is said to originate from the newts that once inhabited its waters. In spring, as the snow melts, delicate white skunk cabbage flowers bloom profusely, transforming the pond into a sea of white. The skunk cabbage typically blooms from late April to early May.
