Saihansou is the retirement villa of Mitsukuni Tokugawa, located in Hitachi-Ota City, Ibaraki Prefecture. Lord Mito, the second lord of Mito Domain, is known for promoting scholarship and culture, giving rise to the Mito school of Confucianism. He was also beloved by the common people as "Lord Yellow Gate" (Komon-sama).
