Miyazawa Kenji Fairy Tale Village, located in Hanamaki City, Iwate Prefecture, is a facility where you can experience the world of Kenji Miyazawa's fairy tales. The worlds of his masterpieces, such as "Night on the Galactic Railroad" and "The Substitute Teacher", are recreated. The park features buildings and walkways designed to evoke the atmosphere of his fairy tales, filled with elements to spark children's imaginations. For example, the Galaxy Station is a building inspired by the galactic railroad depicted by Miyazawa; stepping inside gives you a sense of the vastness of space. The Fairy Path is a walkway through the woods, where you can stroll through the fairy tale world amidst trees and flowers. The exhibition hall clearly presents Miyazawa's life and works through videos and models. You can learn about the nature Miyazawa loved and the messages embedded in his works. Furthermore, with its ample children's attractions and playground equipment, the village provides a full day of fun for the whole family. There are play areas for young children and mystery games for adults, catering to different age groups.
