A library boasting a dynamic, amphitheater-like space and approximately 1.1 million books.
The Ishikawa Prefectural Library, opened in July 2022, is a new library built on the former site of Kanazawa University's Faculty of Engineering. Housing approximately 1.1 million books, it offers a variety of services to stimulate intellectual curiosity, including diverse events, workshops, and digital content. The interior is striking, with bookshelves curving from the atrium ceiling down to the first floor, resembling tree rings. Its dynamic, amphitheater-like architecture is another key feature. The Ishikawa Prefectural Library offers more than just reading; it's a place for experiences and learning. Participate in events and workshops, expand your knowledge with digital content, or simply relax and immerse yourself in a good book – find your perfect way to spend your time. The architecture itself is beautiful and incredibly photogenic. Be sure to visit during your trip to Kanazawa!
