The Ishikawa Prefectural Library, opened in July 2022, is a new library built on the former site of Kanazawa University's Faculty of Engineering. Housing approximately 1.1 million books, it offers a variety of services to stimulate intellectual curiosity, including diverse events, workshops, and digital content. The interior is striking, with bookshelves curving from the atrium ceiling down to the first floor, resembling tree rings. Its dynamic, amphitheater-like architecture is another key feature.
