Arako River Park

Overview

Arako River Park is a comprehensive park spanning approximately 1km north to south along both banks of the Arako River in Minato-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. Development began in 1979 (Showa 54) and it opened in 1985 (Showa 60). The park's charm lies in its beautiful flowers throughout the four seasons. In spring, around 1,000 cherry blossom trees burst into bloom, making it a highly popular hanami (cherry blossom viewing) spot in Nagoya. There's also a lavender field and a Japanese garden, offering a variety of floral displays. Summer sees the lavender in full bloom, carpeting the park in purple.
