Tenma Tenjin Hanjotei is a rakugo theater located in Kita-ku, Osaka. Situated in the north gate parking lot of Osaka Temmangu Shrine, it's a convenient 3-minute walk from JR Tosayamada Station (JR Tozai Line). Opened in October 2002, Tenma Tenjin Hanjotei is Osaka's first permanent rakugo theater. Its mission is to preserve and pass on the tradition of Kamigata rakugo to future generations. In addition to rakugo performers, a diverse range of entertainers—including manzai comedians, musicians, and actors—grace the stage, offering a wide appeal to audiences. The theater also hosts rakugo workshops and classes, providing opportunities to delve deeper into this art form. Tenma Tenjin Hanjotei is a precious place to experience Osaka's culture.
