Hokuryu Sunflower Village is a vast 23-hectare sunflower field created by the townspeople in 1989. The sight of approximately 2 million sunflowers in full bloom is truly breathtaking and captivates visitors. The "Sunflower Festival," held from mid-July to mid-August, is an event where you can fully enjoy the sunflower fields and draws many tourists every year. During the festival period, there are various ways to enjoy the sunflowers. The sunflower maze has a different theme each year, offering a fresh experience every time you visit. Taking a ride on the "Himawari-go" sightseeing bus is also recommended for a leisurely tour of the fields. Many shops selling local specialties are also open, making it an ideal place for souvenir hunting. The sunflower field shines brilliantly under the sun during the day and is illuminated at night, creating a magical atmosphere. It offers different experiences both day and night, making it endlessly captivating. Hokuryu Sunflower Village is a recommended tourist spot for a summer trip to Hokkaido. - Approximately 8km from Numata IC on the Fukagawa Rumoi Expressway, and 13km from Hokuryu Himawari IC. Approximately 28km from Takikawa IC on the Do-o Expressway via National Route 38 and National Route 275. A 6-minute walk from the "Hokuryu Chugakko" bus stop on the Hokkaido Chuo Bus. The "Kosoku Rumoi-go" express bus (Takikawa route) also makes a temporary stop (only disembarkation from Sapporo-eki-mae Terminal, only boarding from Rumoi Terminal). Show route

- During the Sunflower Festival, open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Outside of the festival, it's open 24 hours a day.
- Cld.Days
- Closed only during periods of heavy snowfall. Otherwise, it's generally open every day.
- Fee
- Admission is free. However, the sunflower maze costs ¥300 per person, and the sightseeing bus "Sunflower Go" costs ¥500 for adults and ¥300 for children.
