Nakayama Pass Ski Resort is located in Kimobeppu-cho, Abuta-gun, Hokkaido. Conveniently located just about 60 minutes from Sapporo, it offers stunning views of Mount Yotei. Situated at a high altitude of 830m, it boasts excellent snow quality and a long season, perfect for enjoying skiing from the first snowfall to spring.
During the spring skiing season, there's an outdoor barbeque area where you can enjoy a slope-side BBQ. Three courses cater to all skill levels, from beginner to advanced, and are all easily accessible via a single lift.
While it previously operated with three lifts (two pair lifts and one single lift), it currently operates with a single pair lift.
The resort also houses a SIA-certified ski school (SAWA Winter Sports Academy), providing a safe and enjoyable learning environment. The ski resort is adjacent to other Nakayama Pass facilities, including the Bouyou-Nakayama roadside station and the Nakayama Pass Photo Forest Museum. All these Nakayama Pass facilities are under unified management, with Kamoen Kanko managing the ski resort since the 2003 season.
Nakayama Pass Ski Resort opened in 1966, initially operating under the name "Nakayama Pass Kenmin Center Houjyozan Ski Resort." As of 2016, it remains located within a national forest. At one point, the resort was also known as "Kokusetsu Nakayama Pass Ski Resort."
Nakayama Pass Ski Resort holds many cherished memories for Hokkaido skiers.
