Hokuriku's first outlet mall! This two-story enclosed mall houses approximately 170 stores, offering a fantastic mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment.
Mitsui Outlet Park Hokuriku Oyabe, located in Oyabe City, Toyama Prefecture, opened on July 16, 2015, as the Hokuriku region's first outlet mall. This two-story enclosed mall features approximately 170 stores offering a wide variety of shops, including fashion, cosmetics, general goods, and dining. Inside, you'll find the 50-meter-high Ferris wheel, "NANAIRO WHEEL," and a children's play area, making it a great destination for families. The surrounding area also offers roadside stations and onsen (hot spring) facilities, ensuring a full day of fun. A tourist information center, "Toyama Tabi Navi @ Oyabe," jointly operated by Oyabe City, neighboring municipalities, and Toyama Prefecture, is located within the facility. A prayer room for Muslim visitors is also available. Outside, you'll find a kids' park and the 50-meter-high NANAIRO WHEEL Ferris wheel. Furthermore, the entire mall utilizes LED lighting, a first for Mitsui Outlet Parks. In November 2013, Mitsui Fudosan announced the construction of its 13th outlet mall in Oyabe City, Toyama Prefecture. This marked the first outlet mall in the Hokuriku region, anticipating a significant increase in visitors from various areas. The initial plan was for approximately 160 stores in a two-story enclosed mall, designed to accommodate the Hokuriku region's harsh winter weather. Construction began on July 4, 2014, and the mall opened as scheduled in July 2015. With a site area of approximately 130,000m², a total floor area of approximately 45,000m², and a store area of approximately 26,000m², the number of stores increased to approximately 160 (10 more than initially planned) due to high demand. An outdoor plaza featuring a 50-meter-high Ferris wheel and playground equipment was also included. On January 22, 2015, the names of 129 of the planned 160 stores were announced. On April 23, 2015, the opening date was officially set for July 16th. The final number of stores reached 173, including 10 Japan-first stores and 81 Hokuriku-first stores, making it the second-largest Mitsui Outlet Park at its opening, following Mitsui Outlet Park Inzama. Its strategic location ensures excellent accessibility not only from the three Hokuriku prefectures (Toyama, Ishikawa, and Fukui) but also from wider areas like the Hida region of Gifu Prefecture and the Joetsu region of Niigata Prefecture. With the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen in March 2015, increased domestic and international tourist traffic is anticipated, aiming for 3 to 3.5 million visitors and 17 billion yen in annual sales.
