Overview

Tobu Zoo Park, a hybrid leisure land, opened in 1981 as part of Tobu Railway's 80th-anniversary celebration. The zoo area houses approximately 120 animal species, including white tigers, elephants, and giraffes. In addition to observing animal behavior, you can learn about animal ecology and care through keeper events and guided tours. Opportunities for feeding animals and interactive corners allow you to get closer to the animals. The amusement park area offers around 30 attractions, ranging from thrilling rides to gentler options for young children. Enjoy classic attractions like roller coasters, Ferris wheels, and merry-go-rounds, as well as original attractions. The park also boasts nature-filled spaces, including the Heartful Garden, brimming with seasonal flowers, and expansive lawns. Cherry blossoms bloom in spring, a pool opens in summer, autumn brings vibrant foliage, and winter showcases dazzling illuminations, offering a different charm throughout the year. Access: By Train: Take the Tobu Skytree Line, Tobu Isesaki Line, or Tobu Nikko Line to Tobu Zoo Park Station (West Exit). Then, take an Ibaraki Kyuko bus to the West Gate (approx. 3 minutes) or walk (approx. 10 minutes). By Car: Approximately 20 minutes from the Kumagaya IC on the Tohoku Expressway. Parking: A large parking lot with capacity for 2,500 cars is available at the West Gate (zoo side). Show route
