Imabari Castle is a hilltop castle located in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture. Also known as "Shiratori Castle" (White Bird Castle), its stunning white walls and the beautiful scenery of the Seto Inland Sea create a breathtaking vista. Imabari Castle boasts a rich history, initially constructed in 1599 by Todo Takatora, a retainer of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Later, the Matsudaira clan ruled the castle until the Meiji Restoration. During the Edo period, it played a crucial role in defending against pirates and served as a vital hub for trade in the Seto Inland Sea.
