Doitsu Mura Park, located in Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture, is built on the site of the former Bando Prisoner of War Camp, where German soldiers were held during World War I. From 1914 to 1918, approximately 4,000 German soldiers were interned at the camp. After the war, the park was built as a symbol of Japanese-German friendship. The park features several structures with a German atmosphere, such as the German Bridge and the Megane Bridge (eyeglasses bridge), making it a popular spot for photography.
