Tsuyama Castle (Kakuzan Park) was built in 1616 by Tadamasa Mori, the younger brother of Ranmaru Mori, who died in the Honnoji Incident. All structures were demolished by the Meiji Restoration's decree to abolish castles, but the Bicchu Yagura turret was restored in 2005 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the castle's construction. The stone walls reach a height of approximately 45 meters, and the view from the Bicchu Yagura turret atop them is breathtaking. In spring, approximately 1,000 cherry trees bloom, and the "Tsuyama Cherry Blossom Festival" is held, attracting many visitors to admire the blossoms. At night, the illuminated cherry blossoms create a magical atmosphere. Autumn also brings beautiful autumn foliage.
