Chausuyama Kogen is a high-altitude plateau nestled between Mount Chausu (1,415m) and Mount Hagitaro (1,358m) located southwest of it. These mountains sit on the border of Aichi and Nagano Prefectures. Surrounded by stunning natural beauty, Chausuyama Kogen is a captivating tourist destination that displays different charms throughout the year. In spring, the "Sky Flower Corridor" bursts into bloom with 330,000 moss phlox plants, painting the landscape in a vibrant pink that captivates visitors. The shibazakura (moss phlox) is in full bloom from early May to mid-June, transforming the plateau into a heavenly spectacle. Summer brings lush greenery, blanketing the plateau in a vibrant green.
