Kawazu Bagatelle Park, located in Kawazu-cho, Kamo District, Shizuoka Prefecture, is a rose garden modeled after Paris's Bagatelle Garden. Opened in 2001, it was initially operated by Kawazu Bagatelle Park Co., Ltd., a third-sector company led by Kawazu town. However, after the company dissolved in March 2015, the park is now directly managed by Kawazu town. The park consists of a rose garden and several European-style buildings. The rose garden is a sister garden to the Bagatelle Rose Garden in the Bois de Boulogne in Paris, France. Approximately 1100 varieties and 6000 rose bushes are planted in an authentic French-style garden characterized by its symmetrical geometric patterns. Roses bloom from April to November, with various varieties flourishing throughout the seasons. In spring, the sweet scent of roses fills the air, and the sight of colorful roses in full bloom is breathtaking. Beyond roses, the park also features seasonal flowers, offering beautiful scenery throughout the year. The park also includes a cafe and restaurant where you can relax and unwind. Kawazu Bagatelle Park is a park that everyone can enjoy, not just rose lovers. Kawazu-cho is blessed with a warm climate and boasts many attractive sightseeing spots, such as Kawazu cherry blossoms and Kawazu Seven Waterfalls.
