Kiunkaku is a Western-style villa built in 1919 by businessman Mr. Sannoji, and is known as one of the "Three Great Villas of Atami." It consists of a traditional Japanese-style building (Wagashi) and a Western-style building (Yogashi), both preserving the atmosphere of their time. The Wagashi showcases the traditional beauty of Japanese architecture, while the Yogashi boasts a unique ambiance, blending decorative styles from Japan, China, and Europe. Kiunkaku's architecture symbolizes the vibrant atmosphere of Atami during its heyday, offering a charming Showa Retro feel.
