Komakado Fukaana is a wind cave located in Gotemba City, Shizuoka Prefecture, formed by volcanic activity of Mount Fuji. Designated as a National Natural Monument, it's affectionately known as "kazaana" (wind cave) by the locals in Gotemba. Created approximately 10,000 years ago by the Shin-Fuji eruption, this lava cave features remnants of lava flows on its ceiling. It consists of a main cave and a branch cave, with a total length of approximately 400 meters. The cave maintains a cool 13℃ year-round, offering a refreshing respite even during the summer heat.
