Yakugumiyama Kegonji Temple, located in Ibigawa-cho, Ibi District, Gifu Prefecture, is a renowned temple known as a sacred site where wishes come true. As the final temple on the Saigoku Sanjusanso pilgrimage route, one of Japan's oldest pilgrimage routes, it's always bustling with visitors. Founded in 798, it boasts a history of over 1,200 years. The temple grounds are filled with highlights, including the main hall, three-storied pagoda, and bell tower. Many people visit specifically because it's considered a place where wishes come true. It's also famous for its cherry blossoms and autumn foliage; in spring, the blossoms are in full bloom, and in autumn, the entire mountainside is ablaze with color. The approach is lined with souvenir shops and restaurants, creating a lively atmosphere. While Yakugumiyama Kegonji Temple has long been a place of faith, it has recently gained attention as a power spot. Several locations on the grounds are known as power spots, particularly the 'Mangan-do' hall in the back of the main hall, which is said to grant wishes. The stone pavement of the approach is also popular as a power stone. When visiting Yakugumiyama Kegonji Temple, we recommend allowing ample time.
