A vast zoo home to over 1,500 animals from approximately 100 species. Observe animals in their naturally recreated habitats.
Overview
Yokohama Zoo ZOOASIA, located in Asahi-ku, Yokohama, is a sprawling zoo housing approximately 100 species and over 1,500 animals.
With the theme of "coexistence with nature," several zones recreate animal habitats for natural observation. For example, the African savanna zone lets you see giraffes, zebras, lions, and more roaming freely in a spacious environment.
The Asian tropical rainforest zone features elephants, tigers, orangutans, and other animals living amidst a jungle of trees.
These zones offer opportunities to observe animal behaviors and ecosystems.
ZOOASIA also features playgrounds for children, restaurants, gift shops, and more, making it a full-day destination.
In the summer, "Night ZOOASIA" offers a unique evening experience, showcasing animals in a different light. Nocturnal animals like owls and raccoons become active, and special events and animal presentations are offered, creating fun for the whole family.
Yokohama Zoo ZOOASIA provides an opportunity to connect with animals and learn about nature. Bring your family and friends for a memorable day!
