The approach to the shrine is a naturally beautiful mountain path; the walk itself is purifying. Passing through a forest of towering trees, you'll be greeted by the magnificent vermillion main hall. The intricate carvings on the main hall are exquisitely beautiful, captivating enough to make you lose track of time.
Within the shrine grounds stands the Mitumine cedar, a sacred tree over 800 years old, emanating powerful energy. The view from the summit is breathtaking, offering a panoramic vista of the Chichibu mountains.

Seibu Sightseeing Bus (express bus) - 5 round trips daily to the summit parking lot.
Departs from Seibu-Chichibu Station (Seibu Chichibu Line), via Mituminekuchi Station (Chichibu Railway Chichibu Main Line).
On foot:
Omotesando (main approach): Approximately 140 minutes (3.2 km) from the "Oowa" bus stop (Seibu Sightseeing Bus (express bus)) - The first torii gate stands near the bus stop.
Uramotesando (back approach): Approximately 170 minutes (4.5 km) from the "Okamoto" bus stop (Seibu Sightseeing Bus (express bus)).
By car:
Take National Route 140 to the Chichibu Lake Bridge, then Saitama Prefectural Road 278 Chichibu Tama Kai Kokuritsu Koen Mitumine Line.
Approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes from Chichibu city center.

The most convenient way to access the shrine is by using the Seibu Kanko Bus express service. There are two parking areas: one at the summit and another at the foot of the mountain. Please be aware that the summit parking lot can fill up during peak seasons.
As Mitake Shrine is located at an elevation of 1100 meters, the weather can be unpredictable. Be sure to dress accordingly. In winter, the roads can become snowy and icy, making studded snow tires essential.
