Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade is a approximately 900m-long arcade located in the heart of Sapporo, Hokkaido. Established in 1873, it's renowned as Hokkaido's oldest shopping street. The name "Tanukikoji" (狸小路), meaning "Tanuki Alley", is said to originate from the numerous tanuki (raccoon dogs) that once inhabited the area. Divided into seven blocks, Tanukikoji offers a diverse range of shops.
